Downtown Main Street Open Discussion on Tuesday, July 26 6:00 at the Downtown Elks Club
Next Tuesday evening Downtown Main Street will be hosting an open dialogue meeting at the Elks Club. This is a special opportunity and a really good way to get caught up on everything we are doing downtown.
(It’s also another great way to see the inside of an Elks Club. We’re sure it’s going to be a lot cooler than being outdoors. It’s cheaper than sitting through a movie for a couple hours of air conditioning.)
We’ll kick off with a social hour at 6:00PM and get started at 6:30PM.
It’s everything you ever wanted to know about Downtown Main Street but were afraid to ask.
1. A City Council member will be presenting an update to the Draft Strategic Plan. The Plan is an impressive one; it’s a living, breathing document and a lot of hard work is going into it. Come see the blueprint for our city’s future.
2. News from the Red Wing Innovation Incubator. Many people wonder what this creature is: come hear more about this concept aimed at bringing fledgling entrepreneurial business to downtown Red Wing.
3. The Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) has been an active and generous partner with Downtown Main Street and now they are backing a novel new grant for the City called the Community Growth Initiative. Lots of people are hard at work trying to bring jobs and businesses to our beautiful city. Come see how it’s done.
4. The Blandin Community Leadership Program
5. Progress updates and news from Downtown Red Wing Main Street: bring your questions and get insight into how our members are working together to strengthen our community.
This is an informal meeting where you can ask questions about who we are, what we are doing and express your concerns.
We look forward to seeing you there!
