Tim Penny is the featured speaker at the 2011 Red Wing Downtown Main Street Annual Board Meeting
It’s already been a year since our annual board meeting, so guess what time it is? That’s right! Time for our annual board meeting! This year we have a celebrity speaker, Tim Penny.

Tim Penny served as a member of the Minnesota State Senate from 1976 to 1982. Despite his varied party associations (take the poll on the right-hand side of this page to see if you know which ones), Penny has always been lauded for his fiscal responsibility. Now that’s he’s the president of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, we’re looking forward to hearing his ideas about growing our local economy.
Red Wing Downtown Main Street recently initiated and secured funding from SMIF for the Red Wing Innovation Incubator. The RII is a business development project in partnership with SMIF, the Red Wing Chamber of Commerce, the Red Wing Port Authority, and South East Technical College.
